What is Car Hire Excess?

Car hire excess is the portion you are liable to pay towards repair or replacement if your rental car is damaged or stolen - even if it’s not your fault. This could range from €500 up to €2,000+.

What Optional Extras are available?

  • Dual Lead Driver- On annual policies, allows two persons, who must be close relatives, named on the certificate of insurance as lead drivers to rent cars independently when you purchase an annual policy.
  • Extended Rental Cover- For annual policies extends the maximum trip length to 62 days.
  • Battery Failure Cover- Covers you should the battery on your hire vehicle fails.
  • Collision Damage Waiver- On worldwide policies, increases cover under Excess Reimbursement sections to £75,000
